Move On – Making Movies the Social Media Way

Move On will be the world's first participatory filmThe world of cinema is about to take a giant step forward this year with the release of the highly anticipated road movie “Move On.” Directed by Asger Leth (Man on a Ledge, Ghosts of Cite Soleil) and starring Mads Mikkelsen (Casino Royale, The Hunt), Move On is a movie that fans can not only sit, watch and enjoy but also actively contribute to.

The Story

As filming continues, there has been very little leaked about the actual story behind Move On, although the main plot revolves around a man on the road with a metal case containing unknown contents that he must protect at all costs. With the adventure taking place in Europe, audiences can expect to see some stunning scenes from locations such as Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Germany.

What is known is that the screenplay for the film was penned by multi-award-winning author Matt Greenhalgh. A writer of numerous scripts and stories revolving around the theme of restlessness and overcoming challenges, his screenplay promises to be ideal for those with a taste for the spy thriller genre.

Viral Film Making

Working in tandem with Deutsche Telekom, Move On promises to be the world’s first truly participatory movie. Film lovers from all around the world are being actively encouraged to contribute their ideas to the movie. In addition to naming streets, offering the services of their car for key scenes and even providing a music soundtrack for pivotal moments of the film, fans can also audition for roles as extras in the film via video clips sent from their smartphones.
